Real life has been incredibly less quiet...

It's been Mardi Gras in South Louisiana 

which ended Tuesday night...

These are a few images from our Krewe's ball on Saturday night.

I was outgoing royalty, and as such,

was required to wear a white gown...

Well... Hello Monday...

 

It seems like a million years ago since the last Monday came and passed...A million laughs, a million surprises, a million tears, a million changes between then and now... Be prepared Monday. This time around, you will not shake me. Last week, you foreshadowed a week of insanity, chaos, and stress... This week will be different. Why? Because this week, I woke up to you on my own terms. Work was pushed back a few hours, and I am processing all that lies ahead for the next 7 days without the ringing of a telephone or the incessant questions of people who probably should have thought a bit longer before they spoke... No. Today, I curled my hair, stepped into a pair of heels and am rockin this around my neck. That's right... a pair of heels can change your life and a statement necklace can turn you into Superwoman.

It's another gray, misty, rainy day here... All I want is to be home, curled up in bed with a book or a movie and another cup of coffee. So, while I am at work dreaming of the comforts of home, I thought I would share some images of my little burrow. Of all the rooms in my apartment, my bedroom is more me than any other. It's calm, classic and showcases my love of  books, fashion, vintage pieces, and the people I love the most in this world. My entire home is a constant work in progress but it is quite cozy and I desperately wish I was there today...
